Discovery house

Discovery house was inspired by a vessel used by Henry Hudson in the early 1600s to explore the Hudson Bay and search for a northwest passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

In more recent times, the name Discovery has also been given to the craft used by NASA to travel to and from space.

Discovery first rolled out of the assembly plant building in Palmdale, California, in October 1983 and was launched on 30 August, 1984. When first flown, Discovery became the third operational orbiter.

Like the house name suggests, students in Discovery are keen to expand their learning horizons and discover knowledge through learning, both academically and socially.
