Endeavour house

Endeavour house is named after Captain James Cook’s HMS Endeavour, the first seagoing vessel to reach the east coast of Australia at Botany Bay in April 1770

The name Endeavour was also given to one of NASA’s orbiters in 1989. The name was chosen after a national competition in the US involving students from elementary and secondary schools.

After receiving 6,154 entries from 70,000 students in the first competition of its kind, President Bush announced the name of the new orbiter would be Endeavour.

Students in Endeavour House are inspired to be successful, happy, supportive and inclusive. The house has a family atmosphere and students encourage each other to achieve their best in all things.
