On 9th January 2019 a group of Huntcliff students started their journey towards building and racing a Greenpower Car!
Vaughan Curnow, Project Shuman Co-ordinator, Greenpower Education Trust, Gary Toyne and George Jackson of EDF Energy came to school the start the project, which is being led in school by Mr Ness, our Teacher of Geography, during Enrichment lessons.
The first part was unpacking the car, which comes in kit form.
Now the exciting bit .... building a racing car and racing it in the UK's first Greenpower road race around the streets of Hull in a few months’ time. This will be the first road race of its kind run on public roads .... a large crowd of spectators is envisaged.
The team will be looking to fundraise as part of the Greenpower Project in the near future too, if you can help please contact the school. Thank you
